Carrizo Plain Super Bloom & California Poppies

When nature creates a landscape of wildflowers, you have to go experience the rare phenomenon. In order for the Carrizo Plain National Monument to come alive, the right conditions have to all come together at the right time and that's what happened in April 2023. What an incredible sight to see, smell and walk (carefully) around. The colors were so intense and bright. The poppies were so thick and the fragrance so intoxicating that it was hard to believe what I was witnessing was actually real. It was all truly amazing.
